The Academy Awards is not just one night of celebration in Los Angeles. For the nominees and presenters, it’s a week-long event with non-stop parties and gifting suites.. On Tuesday, (Feb. 21) Red Carpet Reporting hit the 2017 Secret Room Luxury Gifting Lounge at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills. A luxurious residence for which many of the celebrities choose to stay during this busy week in Hollywood.

This Secret Room featured everything from beauty products to the latest developments in technology.

Our first stop was at Chaz Dean’s pop up hair studio in which our guest host Emily Bicks, received a full blow-out. “Do anything you want,” Emily said, as two stylists went to work on her full mane, using their signature line of Wen hair products to both remove frizz and add shine. A mere 15-minutes later, Emily walked out feeling so confident, she pretty much skipped along to the next booth.

In an everyday sense, by far the most useful item we saw was The Stink Boss. Pop anything in it, from dirty sneakers to sweaty clothes, close the top, and like magic, items come out not only smelling like Spring, they’ve been thoroughly cleaned from the inside out.

Among our favorite beauty products included the 24k Karat Gold Mask from Woda European Natural Skin Care, which moisturizes your face and brightens the skin. You’ll also just instantly feel like royalty knowing that the cream is actually infused with 24 karat gold.

Dermesse, a skin care company offered up a full regimen of medical grade products. Their retinol serum pretty much works like a facelift in a bottle, and their sugar body scrub is a strong exfoliant that also smells like a light perfume. Another stand out skin care company, Auspect, who traveled all the way from Australia to show off their latest line of skin care. After inquiring about one’s dermatologic tendencies, they handed you an entire face kit specifically tailored towards your needs, complete with both A.M. and P.M. serums.

While there were numerous jewelry purveyors in attendance, we loved Forever in Our Heart by Mira. Nearly half of all proceeds go towards saving an animals lives. The charitable company based in CT. creates designs everything from delicate rings to sparkly earrings, and it’s awesome knowing that the gorgeous silver pendant necklace we took home, all the proceeds will be donated to a no-kill shelter.

Also with a charitable mission, the Vivajennz Bevvy Carrier. Created by this “mom-prenuer” as she calls herself, invented the original purse which actually serves as a hidden bag that holds liquids. There’s even a secret concealed spout. While these cute bags can carry anything, Emily was completely geeking over the fact that this purse can be used as a portable bottle of wine. There were even collapsible rubber cups for one’s hidden drink to be poured. As if this couldn’t be any cooler, a portion of each sale is donated towards autism research. Cheers to that!

Lastly, the item that truly blew our minds, the digital headset projector by Allomind.st. Putting on what looks like a pair of sunglasses, and attaching a small chord to your streaming device, one is able to watch movies and TV as if they are at the theatre. Along with headsets for sound, a full screen appears before your eyes. The visibility is so clear, it’s like having your own personal entertainment system, but in the size of a pair of shades. While not on sale just yet, this is the future of home streaming is here, and it’s surprisingly awesome.
