Without further adieu, here’s the trailer for If Beale Street Could Talk, which according to the critics… this love story could be one of the best movies of 2018.

Academy award winning filmmaker Barry Jenkins takes us back to 1970s Harlem, and brings to life author James Baldwin’s beautiful love story. Breakout stars Kiki Layne and Stephan James shine as a young couple whose future is tragically derailed.

19-year-old Tish (Layne) and her fiancé Alonzo (James) are expecting their first child together, but are separated when Alonzo is arrested for a crime he didn’t commit. In a racially charged climate the couple’s devotion to each other keeps them connected as Tish fights to clear her husband’s name.

Critics are raving about how the film beautifully honors the author’s message to trust the power of love. The talented cast, featuring Regina King as Tish’s mother, deliver powerful can’t miss performances.
