The Big Bang Theory holds the title of the longest-running multi-camera series in television history, and now it has a new permanent honor. The shows 279 episodes were shot on lot studio 25, which Warner Brothers just renamed “The Big Bang Theory Stage.” The ceremony was held during the Television Critics Association’s Winter Press Tour Studio Day.

Big Bang’s executive producers released a joint statement regarding the honor, they said: “For 12 years and almost 300 episodes, The Big Bang Theory has considered Stage 25 its home. We’re honored that the series can now become a part of the history of this legendary studio which has been home to so many amazing films and television shows.” Stage 25 has also been home to Casablanca, Giant, Bonnie and Clyde, and Blade Runner, as well as television series Maverick, V, What I Like About You and numerous other productions.

This honor has only been dedicated to 5 other stages there’s “The Friends Stage,” “The ER Stage,” “The Ellen Stage,” and “The Two and a Half Men Stage,” which honors another incredibly successful Chuck Lorre comedy.

The final episode of the beloved series will shoot on “The Big Bang Theory Stage” on Tuesday, April 30th.
