Netflix is celebrating the Fourth of July with the new season of Stanger Things!

Here’s the final trailer that dropped yesterday… we’ve included the earlier one for you to check out below.

The third season looks like it was worth the wait.

The entire original cast is returning but the kids have definitely grown up this time around. In case you forgot the cast includes Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven), Finn Wolfhard (Mike), Winona Ryder (Joyce), Noah Schnapp (Will), Caleb Mclaughlin (Lucas), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin), Natalia Dyer (Nancy), Charlie Heaton (Jonathan) and fan favorite Joe Keery (Steve). Season 2 newcomer Sadie Sink (Max) is also back as a member of the gang.

Netflix has announced that some interesting new characters are being added to the show this season. They haven’t given too much away but here’s what we know so far:

  • Maya Thurman-Hawke will be joining the main cast as Robin, a new character who uncovers a “dark secret” in Hawkins.
  • Jake Busey and Cary Elwes have also been added to the line-up as characters Bruce and Mayor Kline.
  • Francesca Reale will feature as Heather, a lifeguard at the community pool who is the center of a “dark mystery.”
  • A character taking on a much bigger role is Lucas’ little sister Erica (played by Priah Ferguson). According to a release from Netflix, season three will see her embark on a “wild mission to save Hawkins from a dangerous and unexpected new threat.”

About Stranger Things Season 3
It’s 1985 in Hawkins, Indiana, and summer’s heating up. School’s out, there’s a brand new mall in town, and the Hawkins crew are on the cusp of adulthood. Romance blossoms and complicates the group’s dynamic, and they’ll have to figure out how to grow up without growing apart. Meanwhile, danger looms.

When the town’s threatened by enemies old and new, Eleven and her friends are reminded that evil never ends; it evolves. Now they’ll have to band together to survive, and remember that friendship is always stronger than fear.
