Watchmen on HBO

The Damon Lindelof continuation of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons iconic comic book mini-series WATCHMEN just launched a new trailer. In it, fans will get a glimpse of just how the world continued to flounder after Viedt’s attempt at unifying the world under a made up global doomsday threat.

As you can see in the trailer, we’re getting teases of Rorsach’s legacy and the return of the long blue dong of the law, Doctor Manhattan (but in a suit).

From Damon Lindelof and set in an alternate history where masked vigilantes are treated as outlaws, this drama series embraces the nostalgia of the original groundbreaking graphic novel of the same name while attempting to break new ground of its own. The cast includes Regina King, Jeremy Irons, Don Johnson, Jean Smart, Tim Blake Nelson, Louis Gossett Jr., Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Hong Chau, Andrew Howard, Tom Mison, Frances Fisher, Jacob Ming-Trent, Sara Vickers, Dylan Schombing, and James Wolk.

Watchmen will debut on HBO this October
