Niecy Nash, Carrie Preston, Judy Reyes, Jenn Lyon, and Karrueche Tran in Claws

The tale of Desna Simms and her crew will be ending next year.

The ladies of Nail Artisans of Manatee County will no doubt go out in style, as the summer series sees the sunset.

“For the past three seasons, Claws has handled delicate and culturally relevant themes like race, class, gender, age and sexual orientation with grace and humor via superb storytelling,” said Brett Weitz, General Manager for TNT, TBS, & truTV. “Fans cherish the over-the-top Clawsian moments that have defined its run, and we will do them justice as we wrap up the tale of Desna and her crew.”

After three seasons of kidnapping, murder, corruption, drug deals and so many reversals of power it would make a gymnast dizzy, the Niecy Nash led series has already made her an outlaw icon of female empowerment.

What happens next, who will we mourn and who will get a happy ending remains to be seen.
