About the Raising Dion
It follows the story of a single mother named Nicole Warren who is left to raise her son, Dion Warren all by herself after the death of her husband, Mark. One would expect her to go through the same problems any single mother does whether she’s divorced or widowed, it doesn’t matter. But for Nicole, it was not that simple. Her child, Dion was not like the other kids. He starts showing weird magical and superhero-like abilities.

Writer and Directors
An Emmy award for her afterschool special To Be a Man, two NAACP Image awards, and a Sundance Film Festival award winner, Neema Barnette created and directed this TV series.

Winning over 20 awards which includes a Grand Prize in screenwriting, Rachel Goldberg has directed this Netflix original TV series.

The writers include Dennis Liu, who contributes as a creator and writer of Raising Dion as well as The Farthest (2017) and Inventing Tomorrow (2018). Carol Barbee is known for writing and producing Touch (2012), Jericho (2006) and Die Hard 2 (1990). Her most recent work is writing and creating Raising Dion.
