Ray Romano, Chris O'Dowd, and Megan Stevenson in Get Shorty

Based on the 1990s bestselling novel by Elmore Leonard, Davey Holmes created the television show “Get Shorty.” The TV series is to return with seven new episodes in season 3. The wait is over for the fans of Get Shorty as season 3 is announced to be released on October 6 2019.

Chris O’Dowd (Thor: The Dark World, Bridesmaid, This Is 40) plays the main lead, Miles Daly with Ray Romano (Everybody Loves Raymond, The Investigator) as the supporting role, Rick Moreweather. The rest of the cast includes Goya Robles (11:55, Valentino’s Wing) in the supporting lead role, Yago, Carolyn Dodd (Chicago Med, Cupid’s Proxy) as Emma Daly, Isaac Keys (The Ultimate Merger) as Ed, Sean Bridgers (Room, The Woman, Sweet Home Alabama) as Louis Darnell, Lidia Porto as Amara De Escalones, Lucy Walters (Power, Shame, Here Alone) as  Katie Daly, Megan Stevenson (Silver Lake, Review) as April Quinn, Sarah Stiles (I’m Dying Up Here, Unsane) as Gladys.

Revolving around a criminal who switches jobs to hide his identity, this show portrays the ways criminals stay low profile. When Miles Daly is the muscle in a murder, he disguises as a producer in the Hollywood industry and learns about it with Rick, as they both struggle to make a movie of their own. Daly is, however, still at odds with his ‘not so bright past.’ The third season is to continue following Daly’s agreement to wear wires for the Feds.
