About the Black Lightning season 3
Another DC Comic character brought to life, the Black Lightning/Jefferson Pierce is a superhero who protects the fictional city of Freeland and its people as a vigilante as well as a mentor.
The journey of Black Lightning began when a school principal, Jefferson Pierce discovered a scientifically advanced power belt that gave him electrical superpowers which he channels to fight against crime in his neighborhood.
So far, we all know about the antagonist Tobias Whale with his gang The 100. Moreover, the Pierce family, due to their extraordinary powers, is targeted by most.
With government-sponsored experiments and drug trafficking that has gone terribly wrong, resulting in metahumans and addicts, the Pierce family has to face it all together.

Cress Williams (“Never Been Kissed”) as Black Lightning/Jefferson Pierce, China Anne McClain (“Black Lightning”) as Jennifer Pierce, Nafessa Williams (“Twin Peaks: The Return”) as Anissa Pierce, Christine Adams (“Batman Begins”) as Lynn Pierce, Marvin Krondon Jones III (“The Beginning Of”) as Tobias Whale, Damon Gupton (“Bates Motel”) as Bill Henderson and James Remar (“Dexter”) as Peter Gambi make up the main cast.
About the directors and writers
An award-winning creator, director, and writer of the series, Salim Akil is known for his outstanding works like Drylongso (1999) and TV series like “Girlfriends,” “The Game” and BETs “Being Mary Jane.” Oz Scott along with being the director of this series has also worked on, “Gotham (2014)” and “Mr & Mrs. Smith (1996).”
The major writers of Black Lightning include Salim Akil as mentioned above and Trevor Von Eden (“Batman: The Brave and the Bold”).
