Over on PS Blog, President & CEO, Sony Interactive Entertainment Jim Ryan unveiled the next generation of Dualshock…the Dualsense. This controller will be what gamers experience when the PlayStation 5 launches later this year.

First, you’ll notice the two-tone color scheme. While its highly likely more color choices will flood the market once the system is in our hands, the white and black colors give it an unprecedented balance while the light bar has also been circled around where the touchpad goes.

DualSense also adds a built-in microphone array, which will enable players to easily chat with friends without a headset – ideal for jumping into a quick conversation.

The controller will still continue to use an internal rechargeable battery while the Xbox Series X will require 2 AA batteries.

One of the mysteries of the controller is the new “Create” button that replaces the Dualshock 4’s “Share”. According to Sony, this button will integrate unannounced features for streamers and anyone who wants to share their gameplay.

With a vast audio array and new haptic feedback sensations, will the new DualSense controller add to a next-gen gaming experience? There’s also no word on what the individual pricing will be for the controller. While Dualshock 4 MSRP was $59.99, there’s no telling what exactly this new tech will cost.
