Welcome to our interview series with filmmakers with film projects in the 2021 Santa Fe Film Festival.
In this interview, we are speaking with director, producer, and writer, Mart Sander, who is an artist who grew up developing his musicality while performing his music, a noted member of the Estonian National Opera (both as a singer and as stage director), being a host, published author and creating television and movies. In this story, The Kennedy Incident, Sander was influenced by an Estonian urban legend about John F. Kennedy during a time he had visited Astonia in real life.
“The Kennedy Incident” entry in the Santa Fe Film Festival will take the audience on a wild ride through history in this period piece with vivid imagery and characters. The love triangle in this story is further experienced from the point of view of each of the two women, deepening our understanding of the paths they are on as the story unfolds.
About “The Kennedy Incident”
“The Kennedy Incident” is based on actual events. During his trip in pre-war Europe, the 21-year old future president John F Kennedy is involved in a bittersweet love triangle with two very different young women: a call girl and a spy.
