In today’s episode, we talk to the amazing America Young. I met America years ago when we were working with independent filmmakers and web series. One cool thing to note… America is from Santa Fe, New Mexico!
America also did a film with Stan Lee, The Concessionaires, which is now going into foreign distribution and her film Back to Lila is going to be on the festival tour – listen to all the amazing things going on with America in our podcast and get inspired by her awesome work!

- America received the 2020 Humanitarian award by UCSD for her work promoting women in the film industry
- America works in Film, TV, Animation, and Video Games, as a Director, stunt coordinator, and stunt woman
- She has directed for Network TV, two features, 13 shorts, and four digital series to name a few
- She has stunt coordinated projects for Warner Bros, Netflix, Lifetime, and Canal Plus and has worked on 65 video games
- America was pivotal in the rebranding of Barbie with the Barbie Vlog in 2015 and directed the critically acclaimed season of the Barbie motion-capture animated series for Mattel which was featured on VICE, Vogue, Glamour and Newsweek
- This new series has been viewed on YouTube over 110 million times and went from 500k subscribers to nearly 10 mil
- Did we mention… she also did the Live-Action – Lara Croft Tomb Raider character at Paramount Parks
