Another major production has come to New Mexico employing approximately 200-300 New Mexico crew members and 2,000 New Mexico background and extras.

Starring Josh Brolin, “Outer Range” centers on a rancher fighting for his territory and family at the edge of Wyoming’s wilderness. Brolin plays rancher Royal Abbott who must face the unknown after discovering a mystery on his land.

Outer Range stars Josh Brolin (Dune), Imogen Poots (I Know This Much Is True), Lili Taylor (Perry Mason), Tamara Podemski (Four Sheets to the Wind), Lewis Pullman (Top Gun: Maverick), Tom Pelphrey (Ozark), Noah Reid (Schitt’s Creek), Shaun Sipos (Krypton), Isabel Arraiza (The Little Things), Olive Abercrombie (Haunting of Hill House). The story centers on Royal Abbott (Brolin), a rancher fighting for his land and family, who discovers an unfathomable mystery at the edge of Wyoming’s wilderness.

The budget for this Amazon Studios and Brad Pitt-owned Plan B Entertainment is reported to be around $6 million per episode compared to an average spend being closer to $1 million every eight days for a TV series.
