Now playing interview...

In today’s episode, we talk to Paul Ingles, producer, reporter, and independent filmmaker, and supporter of local here in Albuquerque.

About A Soldiers Passage: A decorated World War 2 veteran named Tom Williams (Fred Schwab) meets some of his greatest challenges as he nears the end of a long life in a retirement home. He and his visiting son, Paul (Paul Ingles), find there are powerful lessons still to learn about themselves and each other as they both steer through the difficult days.

“I’ve been telling folks that the film is a cross between the very talky cult classic My Dinner with Andree and Tuesdays with Morrie – another film about the sharing of life-lessons between generations,” says Ingles.  The film was shot almost completely in Albuquerque with over 80 local actors and extras.

Sharing is Caring

We are especially excited about Paul’s film, “A Soldiers Passage,” and are sharing more about this film and the wonderful gift that Paul is giving the Albuquerque Guild Theater as part of this release. You can also be part of this great offer by renting the film for $4 or buying a digital version for $8. Half of all purchases made until Father’s Day, will go to the Guild Cinema.

As you may know, the pandemic affected many businesses including theaters and this generous donation will help to support the local community here in Albuquerque.

One other amazing thing about this film is the care in which it was made, in support of conversations about our loved ones in their final days, whether it be due to ‘old age’ and the biological changes in the quality of life and those feelings created in dealing with this subject, and how one family used a combination of conversation and a therapist to listen and validate those feelings to give relief and comfort to the family too.

It’s easy to participate in this offer to watch this film with this rental or digital download giveaway from RCR News Media… go to the first link below to see the movie trailer and the on-demand link for the film. Make your purchase there and you’re on your way.

To participate in the giveaway, please go to Paul’s Facebook page linked below and leave a comment about someone in your life that you’d like to share with and 5 random winners will be selected for a rental version.
