THOSE WHO WISH ME DEAD

Based on Michael Koryta’s 2014 novel, Those Who Wish Me Dead stars Academy Award® winner Angelina Jolie in the intense thriller debuting in theaters and on HBO Max May 14.

Those Who Wish Me Dead was written and directed by Taylor Sheridan and filmed in Albuquerque, Bernalillo, Rio Arriba County, and Santa Clara Pueblo and employed about 675 New Mexico residents in its cast and crew.

“In our story the setting itself is a character, and once we started scouting our locations — from the Santa Clara Pueblo to the Jemez Mountains and the wooded foothills of the Manzanos — we knew that New Mexico would provide the rugged scope that this story demands,” said Sheridan in a statement.

This Warner Bros. film follows Hannah (Jolie), a smoke jumper still reeling from the loss of three lives she failed to save from a fire when she comes across a traumatized 12-year-old boy with nowhere else to turn.

The film also stars Nicholas Hoult (the “X-Men” films), Finn Little (“Reckoning”), Aiden Gillen (“Game of Thrones,” “Peaky Blinders”), Medina Senghore (“Happy!”), Tyler Perry (“Vice,” “Gone Girl”), Jake Weber (“Midway,” “Homeland”), and Jon Bernthal (“Ford v Ferrari,” “Wind River”).

Oscar nominee Sheridan (“Hell or High Water,” “Wind River”) directed from a screenplay by Michael Koryta and Charles Leavitt and Sheridan, based on the book by Koryta.

The director’s behind-the-scenes creative team included his “Wind River” director of photography Ben Richardson, production designer Neil Spisak and costume designer Kari Perkins, and his “Yellowstone” editor Chad Galster and composer Brian Tyler.
