The last presentation of virtual E3 was definitely saving some of the biggest announcements. While third-party news was medium, Nintendo’s first party lineup delivered some big reasons to keep your Switch charged. Here’s the big headlines.

The Legend of Zelda Gets A GAME & WATCH

For the anniversary of the Legend of Zelda fans will have the opportunity to add a new pocket version of the original NES games. The new Game & Watch device includes three games: the original Legend of Zelda, Legend of Zelda: Adventure of Link, and the original Link’s Awakening. It also includes a version of the Game & Watch game Vermin, with Link as the playable character.

In addition to games, the device has a clock function with both a playtime clock, and a timer. The playtime clock is themed around the original Legend of Zelda, while the timer is themed around Adventure of Link. Both clock functions have small interactions connected to their respective games. The device launches on November 12.

First look at BREATH OF THE WILD 2

Nintendo couldn’t close out E3 without giving us a look at one of their most requested titles. In 2022 we’ll be getting a sequel to Breath of the Wild and today Nintendo showed off just a tiny bit of the game and gave fewer details. All we know is that now players will explore the skies of Hyrule.

LIFE IS STRANGE On Nintendo Switch

Life is Strange Remastered Collection and Life is Strange: True Colors are both coming to the Nintendo Switch later this year.
 
Life is Strange: Remastered Collection contains remastered editions of Life is Strange and Life is Strange: Before the Storm. Life is Strange Remastered features enhanced visuals and improved facial animation using mocap technology, and Life is Strange: Before the Storm Remastered features remastered visuals across characters and environments.
  
Life is Strange: True Colors is slated for release on Nintendo Switch on September 10.

Relive MARIO PARTY History

Mario Party Superstars is a collection of previous Mario Party boards and minigames, all retooled and remastered for this new title. It includes 100 minigames from the franchise’s past catalog that are all playable with button controls, as well as five Nintendo 64-era returning boards like Peach’s Birthday Cake and Space Land.

What’s more, Mario Party Superstars includes online, same system, and local wireless play for all game modes, as well as the ability to randomly match with other players online for play and use stickers to communicate. The game launches on Switch on October 29.

Not METROID PRIME But METROID DREAD

While Nintendo mentioned Metroid Prime 4 was still in development, they did announce the first brand new 2D side scrolling Metroid game in 19 years, Metroid Dread. The game features 3D graphics from a 2D perspective and has a horror vibe with a variety of threats. It’s coming on October 8, 2021, with an available amiibo pack featuring Samus and the new enemy EMMI.

Starlord on Switch

Eidos Montreal’s Marvel Guardians Of The Galaxy will be coming to Switch at launch along with the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The single player 3rd person action game puts you in the rocket propelled boots of the galaxy’s greatest misfit, Peter Quill. The game launches October 26, 2021.

Tekken x Smash Bros.

Kazuya from the stories fighting franchise Tekken will be the second-to-last character added to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. While videos of his move set were shown off, a more detailed look at the character in Smash will be broadcast June 28.
