Now Filming in New Mexico American Migrant Workers

The New Mexico Film Office announces a television series, American Migrant Workers produced by Triangle U Studios, will film in Albuquerque, Las Cruces, Truth or Consequences, and Navajo Lake beginning in June through October 2021.

American Migrant Workers is directed by Dan Schatzman (Co-Producer – Being Rose; Executive Producer – Lone Wolf), produced by Leo Rodriguez (Executive Producer – Lone Wolf)

Principal cast includes David Pike and Heather Hall as well as New Mexico resident, Dawn Barclay.

The production will employ approximately 10 New Mexico crew members, 20 New Mexico principal actors, and 20 New Mexico background actors.

“New Mexico is the perfect place to start our story. The rich history of settlers required to adapt to the vast New Mexico landscape encapsulates our story’s theme. Even though times have changed, the need to be resourceful resonates still today. It is a pleasure to work with the New Mexico Film Office, the Land of Enchantment has captured our hearts and we hope the audience as well,” said Jordan Rivera, Triangle U Studios, Founder – Cinematographer.

American Migrant Workers portrays the stories of American migrant workers who live in recreational vehicles and explores how they survive, how they find work in these ever-changing times, and what day-to-day life entails. Showcasing workers whose jobs vary from ranch caretaker to National Park guides, and beyond it is estimated that over 10 million Americans live in RV’s.

“New Mexico is positioned along the major historical trade route of El Camino Real and today lies at the crossroads of I-25 and I-40. Thus, the state has been a place where migrants of all types have passed through for centuries. New Mexico is the perfect place for American Migrant Workers to explore this world and tell the stories of migrant workers,” said Amber Dodson, Director, New Mexico Film Office.
