The New Mexico Film Office announces two short films, Two Roads and The Maid are currently in production in New Mexico.
About Two Roads: Two Roads produced by Two Roads LLC, in Albuquerque and Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Two Roads is directed by Michael Trevino (Roswell, New Mexico, The Vampire Diaries) and produced by Tiffany Sherie Neeley (Millennium Bugs, Wrong Guy, Blood Positive, The Divorce).
“This will be my first time working behind the camera and I’m incredibly grateful to be filming in New Mexico, a place that I’ve called home the past 3 years while working on the TV series, Roswell, New Mexico. Ever since I have shown interest in wanting to direct, our 1st Assistant Cameraman, Lane Luper was always in my ear saying ‘Let’s shoot something! Let me know what you got!’.
Now the film has finally come to fruition and the pieces are in place to make it happen. This is a moment I will never forget. Thankful for everyone lending their creative talents,” said Michael Trevino, Director.
The production will employ approximately 30 New Mexico crew members and 2 New Mexico cast members and 10 New Mexico extras.
The production will star actors Michael Malarkey (Project Blue Book, The Vampire Diaries, The Oath), Grasie Mercedes (Perfect Harmony, 9-1-1), and Ian Fisher (Covert Affairs, Between) Two Roads is a universal and relatable story about a person who questions his or her purpose, and existence.
About The Maid: The Maid produced by The Maid, LLC., will shoot in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The Maid is directed by Kristin Goodman (Dropping the Soap, The Pump and Dump Show), produced by Alexandra Renzo ((Meow Wolf: Origin Story, Selah and the Spades), Jenn Garcia (Pozole, Madwoman’s Game), Deborah Wakshull (When You Finish Saving The World, Stargirl), and executive produced by Caleb Silver (CNN, Bloomberg, Frog Pond Productions).
“We are very excited to produce The Maid this summer in New Mexico. It has always been our dream to make films in the beautiful state we grew up in, and it is especially gratifying to be a part of the New Mexico filmmaking renaissance after the year we have been through,” said Caleb Silver, Executive Producer.
The production will employ approximately 17 New Mexico crew members and 5 New Mexico cast members, including Frida Mercury (Briarpatch) and Danielle Louise Reddick.
The Maid is the story of a maid who shows up to clean a palatial home and discovers darkness living inside that has no intention of letting her leave.
