A new television series pilot, “Department of Onewill begin shooting in Los Angeles starting Mid-August 2022. The script was written by Arcadia Conrad and will be directed by John Redlinger (Sugar Pine 7, Taipei Jesus).  Casting by Junie Lowry-Johnson, Libby Goldstein, and Josh Ropiequet.

Cassandra Wheeler (Kelsey Landon), a long-time High School Drama teacher stuck in a past prime program whose boss Diane (Amy Madigan) is out to nix her job, her long-suffering boyfriend Greg (Damon Dayoub) is sick of playing second fiddle to the high school auditorium, and her troubled daughter Ellie (Autry Haydon-Wilson) is growing increasingly estranged. Pushed nearly to her breaking point, Cassandra is forced by high-powered agent Cy Argento (Ed Begley Jr.) to confront her complicated past when Branch Ravid (Ben Edlin), her most noteworthy former student – the one who made it big, and perhaps, the one who got away – has gone missing from the set of his hit TV show. Cassandra makes it her quest to find him in the wilds of Hollywood.

The pilot will be produced by Haid’s Brittcadia Productions Inc, in association with Bad and Classic Productions, Landwirth Legacy Productions along with Tony-Award-winning Producer, Merrie L Davis, Chris Spencer, and Michael Laskin.
