We’re excited to announce that the versatile actor, screenwriter, comedian, producer and director, Seth MacFarlane, will be hosting the 85th Academy Awards. Oh, wait, did we forget singer?
Seth’s Big Announcement
How Lucky Can One Guy Be?
We think Seth is pretty darn talented. If you only know him as “Stewie” or from his shows, Family Guy, American Dad!, The Cleveland Show, The Winner, Seth MacFarlane’s Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy, Comedy Central Roasts or the hit movie “Ted” with Mark Wahlberg where he voices the teddy bear that comes to life (and provided the motion capture).
Seth also released his debut album “Music is Better Than Words” featuring swing and jazz American standards titles. Here’s a clip of Seth singing – and yes, he’s quite lucky.

Earlier this year, the Academy tweeted: “The 85th Academy Awards nominations will be announced on Jan. 15, 2013, and the Oscar® telecast will be presented on Feb. 24.”
Since that tweet, we’ve been watching movies, listening to people predicting who is in contention and wondering about all the other things fans and fashionistas wonder about – can I get a seat in the stands and who is going to wear what on the red carpet.
With over 20,000 hardcore film enthusiasts vying for the 700 seats that come available giving fans a birds-eye view of the red carpet, you won’t want to miss out on a chance to score in the lottery. To do this, you must go to the Academy’s website and sign up to be an Insider here: http://www.oscars.org/insider/ Don’t worry, you have until 5:00:00 PM Pacific on November 16, 2012 to do this online.
