Tina Fey and Amy Poehler host Golden Globes 2014

Did you know…

The Golden Globes were founded in 1943 by 8 foreign journalists and were originally called the Hollywood Foreign Correspondents Association. The first awards show was a 20th Century Fox at a luncheon and the awards were given out in 5 categories: Best Motion Picture, Best Actor and Actress, and Best supporting Actor and Actress and were given out by members of the association. It wasn’t until 1958, when Rat Packers, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis Jr. ran up on stage and took over the show with whiskey and cigars in hand. They came back the following year to officially host the awards show with stars hosting the event ever since.
