Mingle Media TV and Red Carpet Report host Ashley Bornancin were invited to cover the opening night of the 9th Annual Los Angeles, Italia – Film, Fashion and Art Fest celebrating Italian and Italian-American filmmakers during the week-long celebration that showcases the best of Italian culture at the TLC Chinese Theatres at Hollywood and Highland.

Opening Night
Italian-American Oscar-winning writer-director David O. Russell, who has another Oscar nominated film “American Hustle” this year was presented with the 2014 L.A., Italia Excellence Award as Filmmaker of the Year. Paolo Sorrentino’s “The Great Beauty,” Italy’s Oscar-nominated entry as Best Foreign Language Film, winner of the Golden Globe and BAFTA awards, was also screened with Joe Mantegna serving as honor chair and Bono, Steve Coogan, Alexandre Desplat and Tata Vega were also honored at the opening night festivities.
