Tonight is the night when John Malkovich brings Blackbeard to life as a leader, dreamer, revolutionary and most of all Pirate.
Crossbones is a new dramatic TV series that is based on the book The Republic of Pirates by Colin Woodard. It is a fictionalization of the life of the pirate Edward “Blackbeard” Teach who was infamous around the island of New Providence in The Bahamas.
The series was created by Neil Cross, who also created the hit British TV Series, Luther, and whose television writing credits include Spooks and Doctor Who.
