Camp Snoopy

Not that I’ll admit my age but I was one of the kids who enjoyed riding the Calico Mine Co. Ride at Knott’s Berry Farm in the 1960’s…

Growing up, my family would travel from Southern Florida to Southern California every summer and Knott’s Berry Farm was one of my parent’s favorite places to visit. We would go camping in our converted Volkswagen Bus and it was lots of fun for us to visit different states and especially the rides at our favorite theme parks!

Funny how tradition works, as Knott’s Berry Farm is one of our family traditions and one of the places my son and his friends like to visit year round.

We were at Knott’s Berry Farm for Spring and now we’re going back for Camp Snoopy and the remodeled Calico Mine Co. Ride.

Camp Snoopy at Knott's Berry Farm
As part of Knott’s celebration of 30 years of Camp Snoopy, exciting new wilderness scenes featuring many of the Peanuts gang on a camping trip in the High Sierras have been added. As the 180-passenger train departs from Camp Snoopy Depot, Linus Van Pelt narrates the eight minute journey, pointing out the rustic sights and hilarious Peanuts’ camping adventures along the way. Passengers catch a glimpse of Charlie Brown attempting to fish in a local stream, Snoopy and Woodstock enjoying a campfire, and many more vignettes all featuring classic Peanuts’ action and humor.

Even MORE New Rides for Kids!

There are also three new rides coming to the land of High Sierra fun: Charlie Brown’s Kite Flyer, Pig Pen’s Mud Buggies and Linus Launcher, built by Zamperla. These new attractions will be great for kids of all ages to have some great fun and memories too!
