Mingle Media TV and Red Carpet Report host Ashley Harrington were invited to cover the 66th Emmy Award Nominee Reception for Outstanding Costumes and the kick off the opening of the FIDM Museum & Galleries Eight Annual Exhibition of “The Outstanding Art of Television Costume Design.”

Th Exhibit Featured 100 Costumes from Over 20 Featured Shows and Represented 98 Emmy Nominations.

Nominee Presentation

Nominees received a certificate presented at this year’s Emmy-nominated Costume Designers, Costume Supervisors and Assistant Costume Designers honoring their work along with an exclusive preview of the exhibition presented by FIDM Museum & Galleries.  The television programs featured in the exhibit included: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., American Horror Story: Coven (Outstanding Costumes for a Miniseries, Movie or a Special nominee), The Blacklist, Bonnie & Clyde, Breaking Bad, Castle, Dallas, Downton Abbey (Outstanding Costumes for a Series nominee), The Good Wife, Lizzie Borden Took an Ax, Masters of Sex, Orange is the New Black, Parenthood,Portlandia, Pretty Little Liars, The Red Road, Salem, Sleepy Hollow,The Sound of Music Live!, The Trip to Bountiful, and True Detective.

The Television Academy’s Costume Design & Supervision Peer Group Executive Committee and FIDM Museum & Galleries at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising paid tribute to the 66th Emmy Award nominees for Outstanding Costumes with a special reception that also launched the FIDM Museum & Galleries’ eighth annual presentation of “The Outstanding Art of Television Costume Design.” For the eighth year, noted Costume Designer and former president of the Costume Designers Guild, Mary Rose, returned as the guest curator and organizer of this year’s exhibition.
