Weird Science? No, it’s not! But Disney Channel’s newest original movie, How to Build a Better Boy, has two tech-savvy girls building the “perfect” boyfriend using their skills.

Special Screening + S.T.E.A.M. Inspiration

The Walt Disney Company and Google treated members of Girls Inc. and Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles to an inspiring S.T.E.A.M. themed afternoon including female role models who shared their own experiences and how they use S.T.E.A.M skills in their careers. Even better, Kelli Berglund and Marshall Williams were on hand for the special screening of their upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie “How to Build a Better Boy.”

How to Build a Better Boy is directed by Paul Hoen and written by Jason Mayland and stars China Anne McClain, Kelli Berglund and Marshall Williams.

“How to Build a Better Boy” follows best friends Gabby Harrison and Mae Hartley, two tech-whizzes who computer-program Albert, the perfect virtual boyfriend for Mae. However, when Albert inadvertently comes to life as an advanced robotic soldier, they wind up triggering a national incident. The Disney Channel Original Movie premieres Friday, August 15, 8:00 PM – 9:45 PM ET/PT.
