Now that everyone has had a chance to change out of their cosplay outfits and slip into something a bit more… work friendly, it seems that even after Comic-Con has ended, there are still a few bits of treasure still being released to the world! Today, in lieu of the leaked low quality footage, Warner Bros. has “made things right”, and have decided to release the high-definition sneak peek for the upcoming film Suicide Squad that was premiered at Comic-Con.

To many who didn’t have the chance to go to the event this year, this is a big thumbs-up move by Warner Bros. and DC. Most of the time fans are usually scouring the World Wide Web, around this time after the convention, for any leaked information, photos, or even grainy, low-res videos from cell phones and such. Making the decision to release the footage and give the fans what they’ve wanted to see for some time, especially since the film isn’t scheduled to be released until August 2016, definitely puts WB and DC back on the radar as companies with the fans interest in mind.

Sue Kroll of Warner Bros.  gave the official statement on why they did release the footage. “Warner Bros. Pictures and our anti-piracy team have worked tirelessly over the last 48 hours to contain the Suicide Squad footage that was pirated from Hall H on Saturday. We have been unable to achieve that goal. Today we will release the same footage that has been illegally circulating on the web, in the form it was created and high quality with which it was intended to be enjoyed. We regret this decision as it was our intention to keep the footage as a unique experience for the Comic Con crowd, but we cannot continue to allow the film to be represented by the poor quality of the pirated footage stolen from our presentation.”

Time will tell as to whether this will be a mindset that the two will continue to let lead their decisions, or if this is just a stunt to gain hype on a movie that still has yet to puzzle hardcore comic-readers. But honestly, Jared Leto looks scary as heck.
