Mingle Media TV and our Red Carpet Report host Ine Back Iversen were invited to the Angel Awards honoring philanthropic community leaders who help community-based charities like Project Angel Food.

Before the event, we spoke to arriving notables and active volunteers of the organization about the importance of this organization’s work from feeding shut-ins to raising money to continue the good work started twenty five years ago. Watch our interviews with Jane Lynch of NBC’s “Hollywood Game Night”, Pauley Perrette activist and star of CBS’s “NCIS”, Carolyn Hennesy from Brian Beacock’s “Acting Dead”, Lawrence Zarian, volunteer and from ABC’s “LIVE with Kelly & Michael”, and Brytni Sarpy & Robert Palmer Watkins from ABC’s “General Hospital”. About Project Angel Food
Project Angel Food has benefitted from the continued support by members of Hollywood and the entertainment and fashion industries over the years. Longtime supporter and actress Frances Fisher and Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Alanis Morissette will present at the gala with a special performance by comedienne and actress from the hit TV show Glee, Jane Lynch. Actress and model, Eva Mendes will accept the angel award on behalf of EIF.

Project Angel Food, which cooks and serves nutritious meals to Los Angeles residents battling critical illnesses, was founded by Marianne Williamson 25 years ago when the AIDS and HIV crisis emerged. Marianne and the founding team saw an urgent need to prepare and deliver nutritious meals for seriously ill individuals who were unable to shop and cook for themselves.http://www.angelfood.org
