About The Hero Dog Awards
The American Humane Association is excited to introduce the 5th Annual American Humane Association Hero Dog Awards presented by the Lois Pope LIFE Foundation. On September 19th, eight of America’s top dogs will be given “Hero Dog” awards – Everything from the “Search and Rescue Dog Award” to the “Therapy Dog Award”. All winning Hero Dogs are chosen by the public as winners in each category, where one Hero Dog will take home the top prize and be named the “2015 American Hero Dog”. Hosting the awards will be Beth Stern and James Denton, who will be accompanied by many other special celebrity guests. The night’s featured musical performance will be Five For Fighting.
