Noah Hawley, creator of the Award Winning, Fargo TV series, takes a short break from Mid-Western Murder Mystery series to blow audiences minds with a limited series about one of Marvel’s most powerful Mutants.

David Haller aka Legion (Dan Stevens), in the comics is Professor Charles Xavier’s illegitimate son. In his youth, Charles had gone abroad and was using his telepathy to help ease Holocaust survivors weary minds in an institute where he treated a catatonic Gabrielle Haller. The two became lovers after she awoke and she gave birth to David after Charles left. David had been diagnosed with dissociative personality disorder, though he was really absorbing the personalities of people not only around the world but throughout time and space, and developing more and more mutant powers with each personality he developed. His powers and psychosis are theoretically limitless.

Being a Fox & Marvel Production, this won’t affect or have anything to do with the Main Marvel Cinematic Universe (Avengers, Iron Man, Agents of SHIELD, Daredevil etc), Legion is a Mutant so this would be in the X-Men Universe, though no word on if we’ll see a certain bald wheelchair bound Professor or not.

Legion will air on FX in 2017 (probably in Fargo’s time slot)
