Lake Bell and Dax Shepard star in Bless This Mess. The pair shine as NYC newlyweds who ditch big city life and move to rural Nebraska. They move to a “charming” farmhouse left to them for a fresh start. Upon their arrival, they discover that the charm has been replaced by decay and before they can start over they’ll have to repair their new home, top to bottom.
Bell co-created the series with New Girl’s Liz Meriwether and also directs episodes in its debut season.

Shot as a pilot for Fox a year ago, only to be passed on by that network but picked up by ABC in December, this six-episode, single-camera comedy follows a pair of newlyweds (Lake Bell, Dax Shepard) as they leave the big city behind for a simpler life in Nebraska. Also starring are Ed Begley Jr. and Pam Grier. Bell also directs and co-created the series with New Girl’s Liz Meriwether.
