On the Marvel’s Avengers twitter, Square and Crystal Dynamics announced a new stream series which will reveal new info and features about the upcoming Avengers video game from Square Enix. The first stream takes place on June 24 via the Avengers game YouTube channel and Crystal Dynamics twitch stream.
Marvel’s Avengers combines an original story with single-player and co-operative gameplay in the definitive Avengers gaming experience. Assemble into teams of up to four players online, master extraordinary abilities, customize a growing roster of Heroes, and defend the Earth from escalating threats. Featuring regular content updates, Marvel’s Avengers will take players on an epic journey delivered over multiple years. This game is what’s next for the Avengers.
Late last year more details emerged regarding the game’s original story centered around Ms. Marvel and the core Avengers. Before the world went into COVID-19 lockdown, the game had already pushed back to September 2020. It appears the studio may have slowed down in the middle of the pandemic and like the rest of the industry, figuring out how to finish a massive team collaboration from home. As of writing this, the game is still set for a September 4, 2020 launch.
