Today on Disney Parks Blog, plans were announced for the reopening of Disney Califonia Attractions.

The parks and downtown attractions closed in March amid the Covid-19 pandemic. Disneyland was one of the first major theme parks in the country to shut its operation down for public safety at the time. Those looking to get their ears on or continue pointless world records for days in a row visited will have to comply with a few new regulations.

Pending state and local government approvals, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel plan to reopen on July 23, and Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure park will plan to reopen on July 17. Additionally, Downtown Disney District will begin reopening on July 9.

Disney is working with health officials on implementing new procedures for public safety which include.

  • -Limited capacity reservation system for anyone looking to visit the parks.
  • -Putting “temporary pause” on new ticket sales and annual passes, including renewals.
  • -Guest Experience Team will be available throughout the parks and Downtown Disney District to assist guests with questions regarding these new policies.
  • -No large crowd gathering attractions such as parades and nighttime spectaculars.
  • -A different character meet-and-greet experience. (No details given on this)

More regarding health and safety procedures will be announced in the coming weeks. For more information head over to the resort’s website.
