Microsoft has confirmed the existence of Xbox Series S, and that it will retail at $299. It will also be “the smallest Xbox ever”, according to the company’s tweet.

Over the weekend details began popping up on sites such as Windowns central, with the confirmation of the hardware by Microsoft it’s not hard to believe other rumored details could be true as well including launching on November 10.

A possible list of Xbox Series S details includes:

  • All-Digital
  • 1440p at up to 120FPS
  • DirectX Raytracing
  • Variable Rate Shading
  • Variable Refresh Rate
  • Ultra-Low Latency
  • Custom 512GB SSD
  • 4K Streaming Media Playback
  • 4K Upscaling for Games

It’s hard to believe a console that needs to be purely digital could live with only a 512GB SSD drive when game ssuch as Call of Duty Modern Warfare take up 100GB on consoles alone. We still don’t know what the pre-order information for the Series S or Series X is yet and even more rumors going around suggest Sony will drop PS5 pre-order information this week as well.
