All the details on the PS5 lauch were revealed today during a special showcase.

Starting on November 12, PS5 will be available in seven key markets: the U.S., Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea. The global rollout will continue on November 19 with launches throughout the rest of the world*, including Europe, Middle East, South America, Asia and South Africa. PS5 Digital Edition will be available for a recommended retail price (RRP) of $399.99/¥39,980/€399.99/£359.99 (MSRP), and PS5 with an Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive will be available for an RRP of $499.99/¥49,980/€499.99/£449.99 (MSRP). Pre-orders will be available starting as early as tomorrow at select retailers, so please check with your local retailer.

Along with the system, new accessories will also be available:

  • PULSE 3D™ wireless headset – with 3D audio support and dual noise-cancelling microphones US$99.99/¥9,980/€99.99 (RRP)

We’ll post trailers from all the games announced and updated tomorrow but here’s the big news. Insomniac Games Marvel Spider-Man: Miles Morales will launch same day as the PS5. A new gameplay demo was shown featuring Miles facing off with the game’s villain The Tinkerer. After the event, Insomniac also announced the game would also be available on PlayStation 4.

Spider-Man isn’t the only title making sure no one is left behind. Sony also announced Horizon: Forbidden West and Sackboy A big Adventure will also have PS4 versions available when they launch.

In addition, Sony announced PS Plus Collection. As part of PS Plus, Sony will give PS5 owners access to a curated library of some of the PS4’s biggest hits. The games will feature some upgrade optimized for PS5 hardware.
