Today a cryptic teaser announced the adventure icon Indiana Jones will get a new game developed by a major publisher and studio.

Lucasfilm’s new Indiana Jones game will be swinging our way, being developed by the award-winning studio, Machine Games (Wolfenstein), and executive produced by game industry icon Todd Howard of Bethesda Games Studios. The game will tell a wholly original, standalone tale set at the height of the career of the famed adventurer.

Outside of the voice return of Harrison Ford; one of the biggest questions surrounding the game is having it developed by Bethesda itself. Last year, Microsoft acquired Bethesda into its family of first party studios. Even with the game licensed through Lucasfilm, it’s not out of the realm of possibility that this new game could become exclusive to the Xbox and Windows PC platform. We’ll likely hear more when E3 rolls around in June.
