Today WB Games Montreal put out a substantial look at gameplay from the upcoming DC Comics Gothan Knights game after it was delayed out of 2021. This look features hybrid single-player/two-player game footage using Nightwing and Red Hood.

We get to see two crimes in action, which are short activities found in the open world which Game Director Geoff Ellenor describes as being their own mini game modes with rules and optional objectives. Shown first is Illegal Hack, which sees your chosen hero busting up a gang attempting to hack a bank, and later in the video is Illegal Shipment, which involves chasing a truck through the streets of Gotham and taking out its driver and crew.

Gothan Knights is shaping up to expand upon the live service style crossing between Destiny and Marvel’s Avengers. Though a quick look at the loot system looks to affect your characters cosmetically in the way Injustice 2 did. What the final result will remain to be seen as after Nightwing’s discovery of the Court Of Owls in the video we got a solid release date announcement of October 25.

In addition to the regular and deluxe edition will be a collectors edition featuring a four-character diorama inspired by the art of DC Comics publisher Jim Lee available for pre-order soon from major retailers.

Gotham Knights launches for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S only with previously announced versions for PS4 and Xbox One being taken off to focus on an optimal gameplay experience.
