This 8-episode series employs multiple timelines to subvert the “girl gone missing” genre, exploring how a young woman’s death during a Caribbean vacation causes a traumatic chain reaction that draws her surviving sister into a perilous quest for the truth.
The show is adapted from Alexis Schaitkin’s novel and is written by Leila Gerstein (Mrs. America, The Handmaid’s Tale, Hart of Dixie), who will serve as executive producer. Dee Rees (MUDBOUND) will direct and executive produce the first episode, with Stephen Williams (Watchmen) also serving as executive producer. David Levine and Zack Hayden will produce for Anonymous Content, while Aubrey Graham (aka Drake), Adel “Future” Nur, and Jason Shrier will produce for DreamCrew Entertainment (Euphoria). The show will also involve Alexis Schaitkin and Steve Pearlman (Once Upon a Time). Saint X is an ABC Signature production.
