Montañez was born in Mexico and immigrated to the United States with his family when he was a child. He worked as a janitor at a Frito-Lay factory in California while he was in college. One day, he had the idea to add chili powder to Cheetos, and he brought his idea to his boss. The boss was skeptical at first, but Montañez was persistent. He eventually convinced the executives to give his product a try, and Flamin’ Hot Cheetos were born.

Flamin’ Hot Cheetos quickly became a hit, and Montañez was promoted to a sales position. He eventually became a vice president at Frito-Lay, and he is now a successful motivational speaker. His story is an inspiration to anyone who has ever dreamed of achieving their goals.

The film Flamin’ Hot is directed by Eva Longoria and stars Jesse Garcia as Montañez. It is scheduled to be released in theaters on June 9, 2023.
