Starting May 23, HBO Max is undergoing a transformation and will be known simply as Max.
Max will launch with brand new Max Originals SmartLess: On the Road, How To Create a Sex Scandal, What Am I Eating? With Zooey Deschanel, Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai, Clone High, and documentary Bama Rush, plus blockbuster hit Shazam! Fury of the Gods.
On May 23, 2023, HBO Max will be renamed Max. The new streaming service will offer a wider variety of content than its predecessor, including:
- HBO Originals, such as “Game of Thrones” and “The Sopranos”
- Warner Bros. films, such as “The Batman” and “The Matrix Resurrections”
- Max Originals, such as “The Flight Attendant” and “Hacks”
- The DC universe, such as “Batman” and “Superman”
- The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, such as “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” and “Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore”
- An expansive offering of kids and family content, such as “Sesame Street” and “The Looney Tunes Show”
- Best-in-class programming across food, home, reality, lifestyle, and documentaries from leading brands, such as HGTV, Food Network, Adult Swim, Cartoon Network, Discovery Channel, TLC, and ID
The new Max service will also be continuously updated with fresh content, averaging more than 40 new titles and seasons every month. This will ensure that there is always something new to watch, keeping audiences engaged.
