THQ announced today AEW: Fight Forever will expand their in-game, playable wrestler roster with the legendary Matt Hardy and Broken Matt Hardy as bonuses if you pre-order the game. The AEW: Fight Forever Matt Hardy digital pre-order is available worldwide for PS4/5, Xbox One and Series S/X, and Nintendo Switch. It is also available at participating retailers throughout North America.

THQ Nordic and AEW also revealed the content of the special AEW: Fight Forever Elite Edition, which will be available for both console and PC:

  • Early Access (24-hour/available Wednesday, June 28)
  • Matt Hardy and Broken Matt Hardy roster additions
  • Six more amazing AEW in-game roster wrestlers: Dax Harwood, Cash Wheeler, The Bunny, Keith Lee, HOOK and Danhausen
  • PLUS four mini-games inspired by the biggest wrestlers in AEW

It was speculated months ago when the popular AEW tag team FTR was left off the game’s roster that there would be more wrestlers added shortly after launch and now we know the first round of it. In AEW fan fest interviews, Kenny Omega had mentioned wanting a longer road map for the game versus yearly releases. If this is the case then it’s a type of content addition puts the game more in line with the Mortal Kombat type of release rather than its competitor WWE 2K. Still no word on if purchase of the Elite Edition of Fight Forever will get you access to future wrestler additions for the game.

AEW Fight Forever launches on June 29 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and Steam PC.
