75th EMMY® AWARDS NOMINATIONS


The nominations for the 75th Emmy Awards were announced earlier today by Emmy Award-nominated actress Yvette Nicole Brown and Academy Chair Frank Scherma.

This season, the Emmy Awards celebrates its 75th anniversary. The nominations will recognize the best in television programming from the past year, including drama, comedy, limited series, variety shows, reality shows, and more.

Reflecting on the television landscape, Frank Scherma, the Chair of the Television Academy, remarked, “It’s been another transformational year in this platinum age of television that has delivered a diverse range of extraordinary programming. We are delighted to have Yvette help us celebrate our 75th anniversary as we honor the exceptional shows, innovators, storytellers, and talent whose work has entertained and connected us this season.”

Talented Yvette Nicole Brown, actress, writer, producer, and host has been recognized with an Emmy nomination for her outstanding work on The Black Lady Sketch Show, Brown continues to impress audiences with her talents. She currently stars in Act Your Age on Bounce TV and has garnered fame for her roles in popular television shows such as Community, Drake & Josh, and The Odd Couple. Additionally, Brown has lent her voice to characters in beloved animated series like Pound Puppies, Central Park, Elena of Avalor, and the recent hit, Pupstruction. Her contributions to the film industry include appearances in blockbusters like Avengers: Endgame, Repo Men, and Dream Girls. Notably, she wrote, executive produced, and starred in the romantic comedy Always a Bridesmaid, currently available for streaming on BET+.

Frank Scherma is the president and co-founder of RadicalMedia, an award-winning production company, and is currently serving a second term as Chair of the Television Academy.
