After much speculation and rumor, the game based on the popular IDW mini-series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin was finally officially announced during THQ’s summer showcase.
The teaser below extinguishes the flames of the turtles until only one is left in a game introduction that captures the tone of the book.
Who is the Last Ronin? In a future, battle-ravaged New York City, a lone surviving Turtle embarks on a seemingly hopeless mission seeking justice for the family he lost. From the minds of the creators of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and based on the best-selling comic book event by Eastman, Waltz, Bishop, Delgado, and the Escorza Brothers: the official video game adaptation of TMNT: The Last Ronin.
Coming to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
We don’t know exactly what kind of game this will be but if the remaining rumors are true then the game will follow in the footsteps of recent God Of War games mechanically. Time will tell what the final product will be but the potential of the story and current gen tech gives this game the possibility to rival the Arkahm series in terms of quality.
