WWE announced this morning, WWE Friday Night SmackDown which has aired on the Fox network for the past few years will not be the home of this show which averaged around 2.1 million live viewers per week. WWE Friday Night SmackDown will move to USA Network beginning in fall 2024 once WWE’s deal with Fox expires.

The Hollywood Reporter is speculating that USA securing the broadcast rights to Smackdown means that the longest running show in cable history WWE’s Monday Night Raw will likely be leaving USA along with NXT. USA Network’s broadcasting rights to Monday Night RAW are also set to expire in 2024 and an official announcement on the show’s future should be coming soon.
