MMTVN is excited to be invited to cover the 18th Annual MovieGuide Awards Gala, to be held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel on the 23rd of February 2010.

There will be more than 400 entertainment industry executives, celebrities, decision makers, and national and international media in attendance supporting the Faith & Values Awards who work to champion the best and brightest in the entertainment industry.

Topping off the evening, Dr. Ted Baehr, founder and publisher of MOVIEGUIDE®, will present his highly anticipated Report to the Entertainment Industry, which is based on MOVIEGUIDE®’s extensive annual analysis of annual box office figures.

There will be close to 30 awards being handed out at this year’s event going beyond the standard congratulatory accolades and focusing on the important strides that the film and television industries have taken to bring audiences positive entertainment with inspiring messages of hope, redemption, and love.

One of the awards is named the “Faith & Freedom Award” and is given to the one movie and one television program that do the most to improve cultural understanding between Americans and people other countries by showing a positive or more balanced view of Americans in the mass media and/or presenting the best of American values in an inspiring way, said Dr. Ted Baehr, founder and publisher of Movieguide®.

Besides patriotism, the nominees and the winners can also celebrate such American values as liberty, religious freedom, freedom of speech, the right to vote, property rights, proper compassion for others, protection of the innocent, the right to due process, the right to life and to pursue happiness, the rule of the law, democracy, capitalism, personal responsibility, the right to bear firearms, or a belief in limited and responsible government, equal justice under the law, or government by the consent of the governed.
