My first year attending the Emmys, I had no idea of the time and consideration required to not only get people to the event and parked within a few hours but get the “right people” to the event on time, i.e. talent. While waiting for my turn to get out of my chauffeured car, I saw golf carts driving the opposite way to pick up talent and get them to the arrivals red carpet. Quite fascinating.
This year, our producer, JD, took the Metro train and we then saw a photo tweeted of Jimmy Kimmel taking the train as well and some others riding bikes. Not sure if these are the best ways to arrive if you’re a woman since you still have to “walk” from the train or maybe uber over, but no matter what, there will be traffic.
Once again, Audi to the rescue, as the official automotive partner for the fourth year and provider of transportation for the Television Academy, Emmy nominees and presenters were chauffeured in style and got to the Nokia LIVE Theatre in style.
