As you may have seen previously on the Red Carpet Report, we have teased and shown the short film by director Jake Scott, The Gentleman’s Wager pitting Jude Law and Giancarlo Giannini against each other and a story about a man who has it all, still challenges himself to strive for something he wants that money can’t buy.
We posted the short film again below for you to watch along with photos from this exclusive event at the Venice Film Festival. Now the next time we post an article about Jude Law… we hope we’re there in person to take the photos, share a drink and a jig with him.
At the Venice Film Festival
“The film is about improvement and progress and this is something I try to do in my work and my everyday life. I had to learn new skills shooting this film and that combined with the locations we visited and working with Jake and with Giancarlo, made the whole process a truly rare experience,” said film star Jude Law.
Jude Law, Giancarlo Giannini and director Jake Scott presented the latest film from JOHNNIE WALKER® BLUE LABEL at the first day of Venice Film Festival as an exclusive screening, press conference and whisky tasting. (Now that is one press event we’d like to attend!)
Later that evening they attended a drinks reception to celebrate the release on the terrace of the Westin Europa Regina Hotel, along with fellow actors, actresses, and industry influencers at the festival.
Erik Lorincz, who was a past Diageo Reserve World Class bartender of the year winner, created ‘The Gentleman’s Wager‘ cocktail which was served to guests. The show-stopping signature serve, is made up of JOHNNIE WALKER® BLUE LABEL™, sherry, peychauds bitters and poire williams eau de vie, served beautifully in a Johnnie Walker crystal tumbler. Now that sounds like a one-of-a-kind cocktail to enjoy with Jude Law… Don’t you agree?
