On this chilly, drizzly morning in Pasadena California, nothing stopped press from around the world from gathering at the Langham Huntington Hotel for the NBCUniversal Winter Press Tour. From comedies, to dramas, to realities and sports — this day was packed.

First up, a brand new “thoughtful energetic series created by Jenna Bans. Starring Christina Hendricks, Retta and Mae Whitman Good Girls is being described as a “Thelma & Louise meets Breaking Bad”. The series is about three financially struggling suburban moms who decide to rob the local supermarket using toy guns. The repercussions are much more than they expected. According to Mae Whitman, who plays Annie Marks, the show will bring up the questions of morals. In every episode there will be a situation where they must have to chose what to do. “It’s about women taking their power back.” Whitman states. Retta, who plays Ruby Hill, shared how in most of her previous roles she was always aiding or helping someone else, now, she shared “I’m like holy sh*t, I can be a person.” The title is ironic and is a “big middle finger to the phrase”, according to Christina Hendricks who plays Beth Boland. “Good Girls” is a total “improv fest of fun”. NBC’s Good Girls premieres on February 26.

Fans of Parenthood will be glad to know executive producer Jason Katims is bringing us another drama, alongside other fellow executive producers Jeffrey Seller (Hamilton) and Flody Suarez (8 Simple Rules). Rise is about a high school drama department and the students that are shaped by a passionate teacher. Seller shared that Rise is about everything he believes in family, community and art. The cast and crew did their fair share of research to portray an accurate representation of a high school musical production. Jason Katims went to see a “Spring Awakening” production at the Pacific Palisades High School and even got a behind the scenes look to help with making Rise’s portrayal as authentic as possible. Katims shares he wants the show the school puts on each season to mirror the stories of the season, starting with “Spring Awakening.” It will be interesting to see these young individuals, Damon J. Gillespie who considers himself a dancer first and Auli’i Cravalho who considers herself a singer first, come together. NBC’s Rise premieres on March 13.

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, no, it’s Superman’s grandfather. Syfy’s Krypton is set two generations before the destruction of the legendary Man of Steel’s home. Viewers will be happy to know this series carefully crafted by fellow fans. Executive Producer Cameron Welsh’s first time seeing magic was in Christopher Reeve’s depiction of Superman. Cameron Cuffe, who plays Superman’s grandfather, was heavily influenced by the Superman animated series. Because there is not too much known about the Kryptonian society, writers and creators felt they had a bit more room to be creative. Did we mention there is time traveling? Syfy’s Krypton premieres on March 21.

From superheroes to rappers, the USA Network brings us Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and The Notorious B.I.G. Spanning from 1993-2007 we will get to see what Tupac and Biggie were like before they were stars. Creator and Executive Producer, Kyle Long, said it’s going to be “crazy accurate”. We feel this already as the appearances of Marcc Rose as Tupac and newcomer Wavyy Jonez as The Notorious B.I.G. look uncanny. Rose, having played Tupac in Straight Outta Compton, delved deeper into his research and shared that he has many similarities to Tupac. Jonez added that he was inspired by Biggie to become a rapper himself. USA Networks’ Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and The Notorious B.I.G. airs on February 27.

The tone of the panel room shifted intensely as the Citizen Rose panel was prefaced by a selfie-style video featuring Rose McGowan asking the press to not mention “the name we all know” and to avoid asking “combative questions”. E! Entertainment will be airing Citizen Rose, a look into Rose McGowan’s fight for equality and justice. Rose McGowan began this process three years ago when she had to start training to speak without a script. When asked about the #TimesUp movement seen on the Golden Globes red carpet, McGowan simply said: “I don’t watch red carpets.” The five-part series will first air two hours on January 30, followed by the rest of the episodes in Spring 2018.

Before wrapping the panel, Frances Berwick, who oversees NBCU’s lifestyle networks, addressed the pay disparity at E! She stated that Jason Kennedy and Catt Sadler had different roles and were therefore paid different salaries.

Being described as a “mini-movie every Monday night”, WWE Monday Night Raw will be celebrating it’s 25th anniversary on January 22nd on the USA Network. Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Mark Henry, The Miz, Maryse and WWE Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon were all in attendance at the panel and praised just how far WWE has come. Maryse choked up talking about how women wrestlers went from having two minutes for an introduction to being in the ring for twenty minutes. The Miz shared how he met his wife, Maryse, and is now expecting a baby girl with her all because of WWE. Because WWE’s fans are the “secret sauce” make sure to catch this special on January 22 and support your favorite wrestler.

Touchdown! Super Bowl LII will air on February 4 on NBC. Just four days after, the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea will also air on NBC. The Super Bowl and Olympics have never been this close and NBC will use that to their advantage by showcasing some of their athletes during the Super Bowl. We got a sneak peek into a special with American skier Lindsey Vonn that will leave you reaching for the tissues. Super Bowl LII will air on February 4, kickoff is at 6:30 pm ET. The 2018 Winter Olympics will start on February 8 from Pyeongchang, South Korea.

From Saturday Night Live alums Seth Myers and Mike O’Brien comes a new NBC comedy. A.P. Bio. Glenn Howerton stars as a “failed academic trying to reclaim his rightful place in academia, but first, he needs to teach A.P. Bio.” The cast’s improvisation was “generally integrated” into the show. The cast was “constantly breaking” which speaks to the natural comedic talents of these actors and will prove to be a fun watch. Catch a special preview of A.P. Bio on Thursday, February 1 at 9:30/8:30c before class begins March 1 on NBC.

Stream the first THREE episodes of A.P. Bio on 2/2 and don’t miss a special preview on 2/1 at 9:30/8:30c on NBC.

Mindy Kaling is back at it again as Executive Producer, writer and co-star in the new NBC comedy Champions. In it, she’ll play an old high school girlfriend of Anders Holm who reveals to him that he has a teenage son and he needs to share custody of him. Bachelor Vince (Holm) must get used to this new lifestyle. Young J.J. Totah, who plays Michae, Vince’s son, has a big personality and a lot of the “cool lines”. The show will be tackling issues like sexuality, gym culture towards women and multicultural families. Mindy Paling will be in four to five episodes this season and is very active in the production process. Champions premieres on March 8 on NBC.

Wrapping up the day was the panel of “The Voice”. Executive Producer Audrey Morrissey, Season 12 winner Chris Blue and new coach Kelly Clarkson were all in attendance. Kelly Clarkson is so eager to be joining Alicia Keys, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton because it’s been a long time coming. She shared a story about wanting to join and be a coach, a role she prefers over being a judge, but being pregnant prevented her from signing on. Fans will be sure to love Clarkson’s bubbly personality and caring nature. Warm up your pipes, The Voice returns on February 26 on NBC.
