Aubrey Plaza, the host of this year’s Spirit Awards, opened the ceremony with a star-studded short where she human-sacrificed Stranger Things “four-quadrant cutie” Finn Wolfhard (watch opening below). There were special appearances by Spirit Awards legend John Waters and drag favorite Shangela singing a medley about the Best Feature nominees and other fun surprises.
