During E3, gaming accessory manufacturer, Lexip, announced they’ve entered into a partnership with technology retailer Best Buy. On September 23rd, 700 of their retail stores will launch the Lexip PU 94 gaming mouse.

A gaming mouse certainly isn’t news on its own, but this particular deal will see the hardware come with a third partner, Ubisoft. The game publisher will support the device launch by giving those who purchase the PU 94 a copy of the city building game Anno 1800.

Through the mouse’s thumbstick and better glide ceramic feet build, the PU 94 was said to be tested by engineers and gamers alike in various applications ranging from strategy games to development software. When it launches, Lexip is confident they will have the most efficient product on the market combining the functionality of a mouse and 3D controller.

Lexip also plan to help grow competitive gaming in genres that have previously been underserved. The company will put up regular competitions starting in Anno 1800. These will be along the lines of building a particular city under specified conditions using the PU94. As the company grows their own market, they will look to also expand in-house competitions.

The company has won multiple CES and German Innovation awards. After seeing the PU94 in action, its benefits were definitely time savers for the creator crowd as well as the niche building game audience. The company plan to support individual profile settings from dozens of softwares at launch with more to be added in the future.
